Sadly, the Cancer statistics are still painfully staggering. 160,000 children worldwide are diagnosed every year with a form of cancer. That translates to another family receiving devastating news about the health of their child approximately every three minutes. Even more serious is the potential outcome. 1 out of every 5 children diagnosed with Cancer is still losing his or her battle. The bottom line is, Childhood Cancer is still taking the lives of more children in the US than any other form of disease. These are tough facts that are hard to comprehend, but for many local families, this is the reality that they must face.
